The Venue
Our wedding will be at The West Mill, Derby. The West Mill is a Grade 1 listed former industrial mill dating back to the early 1800's.
Originally built as a cotton spinning mill, the building played an important part in history and the industrial revolution. Having laid empty and derelict the four-story building has been lovingly restored back to life.
The mill is right on the riverbanks of the River Derwent, fingers crossed everybody we get the good weather to enjoy the mill's beautiful grounds.
How To Get There
Driving
The West Mill is located to the North of Derby and is easily accessible by car with plenty of car parking available. Parking is exclusive to the venue and we will put up a sign to help you find the car park.
Cars can be left at the venue overnight so don't worry about having a drink or two!
Address: The West Mill, Darley Abbey Mills, Darley Abbey, Derbyshire, DE22 1DZ
Train
The closest train station is Derby, which is located in the city centre and around a ten minute taxi ride to the venue.
Recommended Hotels
We will be staying at The Cathedral Quarter Hotel on the night of the wedding and Sarah and others will be staying here the night before.
Please note these are simply suggestions of local hotels but you are free to stay wherever you wish. Our only advice is to AVOID THE AMBER GUESTHOUSE AT ALL COST!!!!
Gift List
The most important thing for us is that you are able to join us to celebrate our special day. We are not expecting anything extra however we understand some of you may wish to give a gift (which we are extremely grateful for). We have put together a gift list of items that would fit nicely in our tiny flat. You can find this at: www.prezola.com/wishlists/10158604
The list opens on Saturday 2nd July.
